Most fantastic Stars in Our Universe

NGC 346
Star cluster NGC 346 is located 210,000 light-years away in the center region of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), a satellite galaxy of our Milky Way. It's one of the most dynamic star-forming regions in space. NGC 346 is located in the constellation Tucana.
NGC 2467
The lower right side of the image shows young stars transmitting energetic radiation, and a cluster of young stars dominates the left side. Dust lanes and dark globules are sites of future star formation. NGC 2467 is in the southern constellation of Puppis, about 17,000 light-years away.
Butterfly Cluster M6
M6, also known as the Butterfly Cluster, is visible to the naked eye in the constellation Scorpius. Containing about 80 stars and roughly resembling the shape of a butterfly, it's 20 light-years in diameter and approximately 2,000 light-years away. Young, blue stars, with the brightest star nearly orange, make up M6.
Supernova remnant N 63A
The distance to the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) is approximately 160,000 light-years away in the constellation Dorado. Supernova remnant N 63A is the remains of a massive star that exploded in an already turbulent region.
Light echo from star V838 Monocerotis
In 2002, V838 Monocerotis suddenly became 600,000 times brighter than our Sun. While its outburst faded, the flashes "light echo" illuminates features around the star. These details provided a CT scan-like probe of the structure of dust shells ejected by an aging star.
Star cluster NGC 290 in the SMC
This open star cluster is located about 200,000 light-years away in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), a satellite of our Milky Way Galaxy located in the constellation Tucana. It's approximately 65 light-years across.

Double star cluster (NGC 1850)
NGC 1850 is a double star cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy to the Milky Way Galaxy. This cluster is representative of a class of objects called young, globular-like stellar associations that has no counterpart in our own galaxy.

Fantastic Nebula’s in Our Universe

Eskimo Nebula (NGC 2392)
This planetary nebula began forming about 10,000 years ago, when the dying star began flinging material into space. It's about 5,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Gemini. It's nicknamed the "Eskimo" Nebula because it resembles a face surrounded by a fur parka.
The Crab Nebula (M1)
The Crab Nebula is an expanding remnant of a star's supernova explosion nearly 1,000 years ago. At the center is a fast-spinning neutron star, a pulsar, which powers the bluish nebula from which the red filaments seem to emerge. M1 lies approximately 6,500 light-years away in the constellation Taurus.
Cosmic spider: The Tarantula Nebula
This three-color image shows the Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070) in the Large Magellanic Cloud. This giant emission nebula is 1,000 light-years across and 180,000 light-years away in the southern constellation Dorado. It's one of the most active star-forming regions in our Local Group of galaxies. It's also known as 30 Doradus.
Cat's Eye Nebula (NGC 6543)
The Cat's Eye Nebula (NGC 6543) is a planetary nebula in the constellation Draco and is one of the most complex nebulae known. It's estimated to be 1,000 years old with concentric gas shells, high-speed gas jets, and gas knots.
The Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237)
At its core, NGC 2237 holds/contains an open cluster of bright, young stars. The Rosette Nebula lies in the constellation Monoceros the Unicorn in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.
The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635)
About 6 light-years in diameter, the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) lies 11,000 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. The nebula is the smallest of 3 shells of gas surrounding the massive star BD+602522 (near center of bubble). The magenta wisps near the bottom-right of the image are the remnants of supernova that exploded thousands of years ago.
Cometary Globule CG4
Cometary globules are small clouds of gas and dust within the Milky Way. The head of Cometary Globule CG4 is about 1.5 light-years in diameter, and the tail is approximately 8 light-years long. It's about 1,300 light-years from Earth and lies in the constellation Puppis.
NGC 3603
One of the most massive young star clusters in the Milky Way lives within the giant emission nebula NGC 3603, approximately 20,000 light-years away. Ultraviolet radiation and strong winds from the bluest and hottest stars have created a big bubble around the cluster. Sir John Herschel discovered the nebula in 1834.
Abell 39
Abell 39 is a planetary nebula with a diameter of about 5 light-years, and the shell has a thickness of approximately a third of a light-year. This nebula is about 7,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Hercules. Note that the central star is blue-white in color, indicating that the white dwarf star is hot. Distant background galaxies also appear in this image.
M43 (NGC 1982)
Emission Nebula M43 (NGC 1982) is part of the larger Orion Nebula (M42). It's separated from the main nebula by a dark lane, which you can see in this image. The central star is a young, irregular variable named NU Orionis, or HD37061.
The Trifid Nebula (M20)
M20, the Trifid Nebula, consists of both a red emission nebula and a blue reflection nebula component. The southern part of the region is where new stars are forming. M20 is located in the western part of Sagittarius with a distance somewhere between 2,200 and 7,600 light-years away.
The Witch's Broom Nebula (NGC 6960)
NGC 6960, also known as the Witch's Broom, is part of the Veil Nebula. It's the remains of one, and possibly two, supernovae that exploded about 15,000 years ago. Approximately, 1,500 light-years from Earth, this nebula lies in the constellation Cygnus. The bright star in the middle of the image known as 52 Cygni, is not part of the supernova remnant.
Helix Nebula (NGC 7293)
The Helix Nebula (NGC 7293) is one of the nearest planetary nebulae to Earth. The colors of the nebula correspond to glowing oxygen (blue), hydrogen and nitrogen (red). It's in the constellation Aquarius, about 650 light-years from Earth.
Lagoon Nebula, NGC 6523 (M8)
The Lagoon Nebula, NGC 6523 (M8) is in the constellation Sagittarius. It glows red because the radiation of hot stars at its center excite hydrogen. Occasionally, several unusual variable stars in the nebula flare up, causing their brightness to increase 25 times their normal luminosity. The nebula is about 6,500 light-years away and about 60 light-years across.
Pickering's Triangle
Pickering's Triangle is part of the Cygnus Loop supernova remnant, which includes the famous Veil Nebula. About 1,500 light-years from Earth, it's located in the constellation Cygnus the Swan. The supernova explosion that produced the nebula is estimated to have occurred 5,000 to 10,000 years ago.
Horsehead Nebula
The Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) is part of the bright nebula IC #434. It's an extremely dense cloud located in Orion, approximately 1,600 light-years from Earth. Ionized gas provides the pink glow behind the nebula. (The lower left bright star is Zeta Orionis.)

Elephant Trunk Nebula
The Elephant Trunk Nebula is a dense cloud of gas inside a bright cluster of stars known as IC 1396. The nebula is nearly 3,000 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus. The "trunk" is over 20 light-years long.

Word Tourism: Halong Bay

Halong Bay is in northern Vietnam, 170 km east of Hanoi. The bay is famous for its scenic rock formations.
Understand
"Ha Long" is literally translated as "Bay of Descending Dragons." Prior to the 19th century, this name was not recorded in any document or archive. When mentioning the present-day Quang Ninh Sea or Ha Long Bay, old historical books often referred to them by the names of An Bang, Luc Thuy or Van Don. Not until the late 19th century did the name of Ha Long Bay appear on a French Marine Map. The Hai Phong News, a French newspaper of the time, had an article, Dragon appears on Ha Long Bay, reporting the following story: In 1898 a sub-lieutenant named Lagredin, captaining the Avalanse reported seeing a huge sea snake on Ha Long Bay. This was also witnessed by many of the crews. Thus emerged the European image of the Asian dragon. Whether this appearance of a strange animal looking like a dragon resulted the name of Ha Long Bay is not known.
Get in
From Hanoi: 165km or 3 hrs 30 minutes drive.
From Hai Phong: 75km or 1 hr 30 minutes drive.
The best way to get to Ha Long Bay is to rent a car from Hanoi. It costs approximately US$100 return.
There is also a tourist open bus service offered by travel agencies around the Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi. Cost: US$8 net/person/way.
Some hotels & cruise operators also offer the transfer service for passengers even not staying in their hotels. Call Emeraude Shuttle bus at (04) 9340 888
Public buses leave from Long Bien or Gia Lam Station (other side of Red River, 2km from Hoan Kiem Lake) to Bay Chai (Halong City) every 30 minutes from 6AM to 6PM and cost 50,000 dong/person each way.
Vietnam Airlines now operates helicopter day trip to Ha Long Bay, departing from Gia Lam airport (Hanoi) every Saturday.
Get around: See
Rent a junk to visit the bay for either several hours or overnight on the bay.
Ha Long Bay is a beautiful area with 1969 limestone islands jutting imposingly upon the skyline. Unfortunately the place is a tourist trap and the unique panorama is spoilt by a tremendous amount of "junks" which are in fact slimly disguised tourist boats that bear no resemblance to the authentic Chinese sailing vessels of the same name. These diesel-powered floating money-makers careen about the bay with casual indifference to safety as they bump and crunch against each other in a frenzy to drop their fares onto the obligatory island or floating shop before depositing the harried passengers back at Halong Bay dock feeling like they've been cheated out of their Dong, even if that isn't particularly true. The romantic setting is forever spoilt by the cattle-market mentality. Still... nice scenery.
Visitors to Ha Long Bay must purchase a ticket (30,000 dong) from the Ha Long Bay management department, which gives the option of following one of two routes:
Thien Cung Grotto, Dau Go Cave, and other sites (excluding Sung Sot Cave).
Sung Sot Cave and other sites (excluding Thien Cung Grotto and Dau Go Cave).
Do
The vast majority of tourists visit Ha Long Bay on a pre-purchased tour from Hanoi. Prices are extremely variable depending on the quality of the boat, crew, food and additional activities. The cheaper the tour, the more basic the amenities. Virtually all hostels and hotels in Hanoi offer tours to Ha Long Bay. You can usually judge the level of professionalism of the tour based on that of the hotel itself. As most hotels do not run their own tours, but serve as a proxy for tour companies, it will usually be cheaper to go to an actual tourist company location and deal with them directly.
As a rough guide, a two night three day tour for US$80 should get you at a minimum:
one night aboard a deluxe imperial junk (ie. better than the standard boat and much better than the el cheapo options) with decent sized amounts of food and enough lounges on the deck for everyone.
one night at a 4 star hotel on Cat Ba island, again with more than enough food.
a fluent English speaking guide.
lots of activities: cave visits, kayaking, swimming, island stopovers (to climb Titov mountain, bike ride amongst rice paddies and see monkeys).
Kayaking is great fun - find a secluded bay and soak in the amazing surroundings. The water is lovely and refreshing when the sun is out, but extremely salty.
Buy
There is a Halong Night Market. You can spend the entire night shopping. The snacks and water bottles are neatly packed into the small boats. Never seen anything like this before. Very unique and nice.
Eat
There are many restaurant in Halong City (Bai Chay Town)which opposite to the Bai Chay Beach and offers mostly Vietnamese Rice dishes and Seafood.
The only western foods restaurant in the area is Emeraude Café (033 849 266) located on Bai Chay coast near the post office.
Drink
Drink can be found for the cheap price at the local drinks shops or restaurant around the city (cold drink also can buy from the boat on the cruise trip) while on the bay.
Sleep
There are several new hotels on Cat Ba Island, most catering to overnight boat trip packages.
You can also sleep aboard a junk as part of an overnight cruise. The price will include dinner and breakfast aboard the boat, along with the extras described above.
There are countless travel agencies who sell these cruises in Hanoi and other cities in the region, and every hotel will be thrilled to book one for you as well. Since most agencies contract with third-party companies to handle the actual cruise, experiences can vary — the seas of Ha Long Bay are plied by smooth, classy junks and old, loud rattletraps. You might run across someone who had a great time on a US$10 cruise with one agency, and upon booking the same, spend a whole night choking on carbon exhaust fumes. The sad fact (for budget travelers) is: the more you pay, the better your odds will be. You should be safe with cruises in the US$35 range, but really nice ones can run as high as US$200 per person.
Get out
Mong Cai border City - there is a hydrofoil service from Bai Chay to the border city with China.
Cat Ba Island - rent or book a seat on a junk to Cat Ba Island.
Haiphong City - buses leave from Bai Chay Station to Hai Phong City.
Tuan Chau Island - rather a touristy spot.
Visit the old stone houses in the mining town of Cam Pha.

Aishwarya Rai’s topless image creates controversy

A topless image of Aishwarya Bachan taken in the 90s published by a site has created controversy. The image, which featured on a magazine, had Aishwarya topless along with some top models from the 90s including Milind Soman, Madhu Sapre, Ruchi Malhotra and Colleen Khan. The authenticity of the image however could not be established as all the models were posing their back to the Camera. The image has caused immense tension for the former Miss World at home and the Bachchans are not happy about the incident. Husband Abhishek Bachan who is quite upset about the event did not want this to evolve into a huge controversy. The Bachchans for now have denied Aishwarya's presence in the image and termed it as morphed.
This is not the first time that a controversy has created tension between Abhi and Ash.
The lip-lock scene between Aishwarya and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom-2 had
allegedly upset Abhishek just before the two tied the knot. It wasalso rumoured that Aishwarya starred in Jodhaa Akbar on the condition
that there will be no kissing scenes in the movie.
